Project Overview

Mzuzu Disability Organization (MZUDO) is implementing a strategic project focused on the design, development, and launch of a disability-accessible website to strengthen the visibility of its advocacy, outreach, and inclusion work. This initiative is funded by WEDO as part of its support to grassroots women-led organizations working on environmental justice and inclusive development.

Purpose of the Project

The website will serve as a central platform for amplifying the voices of women and girls with disabilities, documenting MZUDO’s advocacy efforts, and providing accessible resources for the public, partners, and policymakers.

Key Objectives

Create a fully functional and accessible website that meets the digital needs of users with disabilities Digitally publish MZUDO’s advocacy work, impact stories, and publications Enable community members and stakeholders to connect, volunteer, or partner with MZUDO Improve access to disability rights information through multimedia content and accessible formats

Key Activities

Web design and development with accessibility features (screen reader compatibility, alt text, font size options) Content development, including organizational history, ongoing projects, and success stories Integration of resource hub for reports, toolkits, and policy briefs Training MZUDO staff on website content management and updates

Expected Outcomes
