JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Mzuzu Disability Organization (MZUDO) Promoting Disability-Inclusive Climate Governance Mzuzu Disability Organization (MZUDO) is a local organization committed to advancing the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, with a special focus on women and girls. We are implementing the second phase of the project titled “Inclusion of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Climate Change Actions and Policies”, with support from the Disability Rights Fund (DRF). We are seeking qualified, committed, and passionate individuals to join our team in the following positions: 1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1 Position – Full Time, Mzuzu-Based)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement M&E tools and systems to track project progress. Collect, analyze, and report data on project activities, outputs, and outcomes. Support the team in using data for learning, reflection, and reporting. Prepare timely and accurate reports for internal use and donor reporting. Coordinate M&E-related capacity building for staff and partners.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. At least 2 years of relevant experience in M&E, preferably in disability or climate-related projects. Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and report writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS). Knowledge of disability inclusion and rights is an added advantage.
2. Office Assistant (1 Position – Full Time, Mzuzu-Based) Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative and logistical support to the organization. Maintain cleanliness and order in the office premises. Run errands and ensure timely delivery and collection of documents. Support filing and basic office organization tasks. Assist in preparing for meetings and events.
Qualifications and Experience: Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). At least 1 year of relevant work experience in an office environment. Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and uphold confidentiality. Knowledge or experience working with disability-focused organizations is an asset.
